Wow the nostalgia... Have not posted on my personal LJ for months... literally!
Nothing much happening with me. Am settled into my house now, but still in my boring dead-end job! Am having my mum and sister and Tony round for tea tonight which will be nice and have a long weekend off as well. Wonder what I'll do?
Hope all my LJ pals are doing good, sorry for being a stranger and being really slack with commenting and stuff. Haven't really been reading everyones posts either it's a shame to confess!

Hey Peeps!
Have been working again today (groan... what on Earth made me put down for so much overtime?!) then went to visit Gemma at her house.
Was treated to some very funny clips from Gackt's Diablo DVD! Gackt cracks me up! Anyone seen the Youtube clips of his appearances on Utaban? They make me howl, What deadpan humour!

Hello all - first time posting in the new format (how weird).
Sorry didn't post the other day, went out with my sister to the pub after work, was supposed to be a pub quiz, but we ended up just sat in a corner chatting. Was good anyway apart from reeking of cigarette smoke when I got home!
Everyone say hi to dellscorner who has now been added to my f-list; he's from Malaysia so I have now successfully spanned the world using LJ!
Have just spent an hour writing up my Christmas cards - you were right Hayley_beth it's a pain!

I am from Scunthorpe (a crappy, drug-ridden industrial town in Lincolnshire, just below the river Humber if you ever wanna check a map) in wonderful England! There's really nothing interesting about Scunthorpe, but it's close to Lincoln where some scenes from the Da Vinci Code film and the Harry Potter films were done. Sorry, that's the only claim to fame. I'm sure you could all tell me something more interesting about where you live... |

Not that I blame any of you... is highly understandable.
On another note, I have done the whole slaving at work thing where I was last out AGAIN. Why am I always stuck on the last call? Every bugger that wants to complain I get right at the end and everyone else tootles off home... I'm sure they all sit on Not Ready so they don't get the last call, GGRRRRRRR!
Got my first paycheck as a LTSB employee instead of Manpower - got the whole month of December's pay whereas usually I'm paid weekly. Will have to be sure to space it out so I don't spend it all by the time next payday arrives!!! Am actually already applying for an internally advertised position doing something else in the mortgage unit - hope I get it as should be 9-5 and might actually then be able to plan something in the evenings. Would love to do night classes at college...

Got the Bleach OST II today in the post - what a disappointment - thought there'd be more kick-ass tunes like the first one, but they were all quite crap. T_T Boohoo!
Well don't have much to talk about - went straight to my sisters from work yesterday and then on to visit Dad and went for a drink at his local; the Wheatsheaf. Was a good night actually, considering I never normally go out, came in at half past ten and chilled a bit before bed.
I really need to do another episode summary for the community - I don't want to get behind.
Am just watching good ole Pirates 2 with the family (not a patch on the first film, but still it has Jack Sparrow in so it's all good!)...

Very sorry, for skipping a day guys, both on this journal and the comm!
Was so tired after the mountainous pile of ironing I finished yesterday I was half asleep and my brain couldn't figure out anything interesting to say!!!
Not that I'm saying today will be much better, but didn't want you thinking I'd dropped off the planet again. Please give me a nudge if I ever look like doing so...
Well, am 11-7 all this week (apart from Saturday where I have the pleasure of early rising for the 8.30-1.00 shift). May be going to my sister Vicki's tonight and visiting Dad, so thought had better get a post in this mornin.
Am really going to have to start writing my Christmas cards - I bought a load on Saturday but haven't looked at them since! Was also baby-sitting the 'Pampered Puss' this weekend and will be on Thurs/Fri as well. He got his fish and biscuits and jellied meat - God damn that is one spoiled little feline!!! And he stayed inside the whole time, wouldn't even stick his dainty little paws outside where it was cold and wet!
I've been sniffling a bit - hope it's not the onset of a cold, can you just imagine me on the mortgage helpline greeting customers with a stuffy nose? Ewww.

What Christmas traditions or things do you do every Christmas without fail?
My mum keeps most of the traditions in our family going, every year (even now we're adults...) she'll pop into our room on Christmas Eve while we're sleeping and leave a bag of goodies and little pressies at the bottom of our beds and then we get up in the morning drag them into our parents room and sit on their bed chatting while we open them all up. Can't do it with Kerry anymore since her and Jacko moved in together but Vicki comes home for Christmas, so will probably just be us two this year! Oh and my mum always signs pressents from her as from 'Mummy Claus' - what a hoot! |

Has just taken me about three hours to read the latest updates on everyones journals and I haven't even managed to comment on most of them!!
I am really tired. I was at work for 8.30 to 1.00pm then went into town to get some more crimbo presents - it was mad. Urgh, I hate crowds! Managed to get my nanna and my dad's presents so can tick them off the list... whoohoo! Progress!
Have finally bought my Christmas cards, but haven't written out my list yet, will have all that fun to do tomorrow along with my ironing... I swear that pile is like a weed - it just keeps growing!!

Hello again everyone! Got stuck on a complaints call today and left work 20 minutes late, but did I complain? ...Well yes, but after that I exercised the whole Christmas spirit thing and realised it didn't really bother me so much.
I'll be working again tomorrow spreading my Christmas cheer to all the other whining, complaining, stupid... ahem, absolutely wonderful customers of Lloyds TSB! After which I will be going to hopefully finish my Christmas shopping... crap though the shops in Scunny may be!

Morning Campers!
Despite getting next to no sleep last night, have woken up fairly cheerful again this morning. Have done a really cute Picture of the Week for ,animatesanime, but think I'll leave doing another Conversation Topic until tomorrow. Started a summary for Episode 2 - Their Secret, from Kareshi no Kanojo last night, but have a feeling that could take me a couple of days at the rate I'm going...
Got a brilliant response to yesterday's post. The song was great, huh? I think I may add it under Christmas Memories...
Got playing on my computer last night. Don't know whether you've heard of Gameboy emulators that allow you to play gameboy games on your pc, but I've got one and was playing Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team - I think it's the best Pokemon game yet. You can quibble with me if you disagree, but I'm unlikely to change my mind...
Have ordered the Bleach II OST off Ebay, simply because I love the first one. It kicks ass. Only came to about $17 including P&P, which is like less than £10. How chuffed am I?!

Anyways, I don't have anything momentous to report. I did my child-minding bit yesterday, which means I sat and read while the kids did whatever they pretty much wanted! Apart from the dog sitting on me and giving me pins and needles he actually didn't slobber on me too badly... Came home about half past ten and went to bed early. There. That was my fascinating day. Is probably why I'm so chipper this morning since it was a fairly relaxing evening...
Am working from 10-6 this week so my posts may come in a little later than usual. This may also mean it takes me slightly longer to complete the episode summaries for the website, so hang in there okay!

Hope everyone is getting into the good ole Christmas spirit! I am, despite the seriously depriving fact that I still don't have an Advent Calendar. Have put it as my number 1 on my Secret Santa wish list. Was followed in quick succession by a bar of Galaxy or a box of Maltesers...
I'm a woman of simple tastes. It doesn't take much to please me. (There should be a sign next to me that reads; "For best response, Feed Chocolate.")
Oh dear that sounded strange... Meh, nevermind.

Had to return my sisters present today and get her another one because someone had already bought her what I had (groan...) then popped into Morrisons to get my Mum some stuff for baking, rushed home to drop it off and then dashed out to my Dad's so he coud go for dinner at Grandads while I waited in for his delivery of a new microwave.
Managed to get another episode summary done, but it must have taken me a good three hours. I had no idea it would take me that long, my Chobits eps don't last much longer than an hour usually, but this time I was doing Hikaru No Go and it was a bit more complicated, for obvious reasons if you're familiar with the series...
Spent this evening helping put up the Christmas tree with my sister Kerry and Tony. Jacko (Kerry's fiance) then came round and we all had the lovely cooked dinner my Mum made with roast chicken and Yorkshire puds. Delicious!
Vicki (my other sister) then called in after work and we finished off the tree, putting on all the baubles while listening to Tony's Christmas compilation album. He has this one that he plays every night from the 1st of December right up until even after Christmas. It drives you up the wall!!
I have a huge pile of ironing that I simply refuse to start on - I think I'll just iron as and when I need it for this week... I can't help it, when youre no at work the last thing you actually feel like doing is work! Having said that I have been known to get in Housewife mode every now and then and actually enjoy the whole cleaning and cooking bit. Wonders will never cease after all...

I can only stomach shopping for so long, I get claustrophobic in crowds, so I try and get all my shopping done in just a couple of days instead of spreading out the torment...
Today I did really well. I managed to get presents for my 2 cousins; Jacob and Sophie, my sister Vicki, my mum and Tony (her partner) and I also bought myself a couple of tops (2 for £8, who wouldn't???). Had to sneak my bags into my room and stash them in the wardrobe when I got home, as Tony was in, but am really very pleased with myself!
The tricky presents are going to be my nanna and grandad and my aunt and uncle. I have a rough idea what to get Dad, so should be okay there, but I also wanted to get a little extra for my sister Kerry... Can't think what though.
Am visiting Vicki and Dad shortly so may not get round to posting another episode summary today on the website, or if I do manage to it will be late. Not sure what ep to do next; Chobits, Kare Kano or Hikaru no Go?
Mah, well I'll decide later.

Have just spent most of tonight slogging over the summary for episode seven of Chobits, was the most tiring one I've done to date!
Not sure why.
Anyway, haven't got a lot to expand on today, practically nothing in fact. May spend some time tomorrow updating and commentng because I'm not at work! Yoohoo! But I must allocate enough Christmas shopping time so that I can get all my presents bought in time- have spotted a really nice coat I like as well so I may end up treating myself... No harm after all it's the Christmas season. Must remember to get myself an advent calendar as well, I won't be able to survive without the daily chocolate fix!

Todays question is based on a conversation I was ear-wigging on earlier today...
If you are part of a couple do you believe in being so exclusive with that person that you only go out on a night together (e.g. with other couples) or do you think going out separately often (e.g. with single mates) is necessary as well?
The crux to the conversation I was listening to is that one person thought going out separately was a good idea (keeping in touch with friends etc. and partner should trust you) whereas the other person believed that going out separately opened the door to temptation to cheating on your partner...
